When I got the call from Caitlin about the possibility of shooting their wedding, I was so happy my cheeks got cramps! How amazing was it that I was available on their date and would get to be a part of such a special day!
A little bit of back story here, my boyfriend and I met the groom David in 2010 on a trip to Costa Rica. We all kept in touch over the years, and when Caitlin & David had their little boy Henry in 2012, they booked me for some of his newborn photographs. It was my first time meeting Caitlin (spelt the right way! Go us!) and we just clicked. She is truly an amazing woman, and has such a great personality. So to be a part of their wedding day was just beyond special. Being able to continuously capture photographs for a family and watch them grow is one of the best parts of my job.
Caitlin’s dress was gorgeous! It was covered in beautiful florals that had accents of peach in some of the flowers. It’s all about the details! For the group dress shot that I took, their little man Henry decided he wanted to be in the photograph, and it’s one of my favourites from the day!
The Old Springer House has that rustic country feel to it, and it’s really a beautiful venue to get married at. Everything happens for a reason, and there’s a reason that the day opened up, and they were able to sign for the wedding venue on their 5th anniversary. It was meant to be! The ceremony was beautiful, and their little man Henry was so cute and even tried to steal the show!
The Old Springer House has this great open field at the front of their property and we headed over there after the ceremony for a champagne toast, and a group shot of all the guests.
The formal photos were fun, and it’s always great when the wedding party likes to have a little fun too! Everyone had such great personalities, and it really does show in the photos. We took a few minutes after for just the bride & groom to get some photos taken before the reception started.
I was able to stay up until the end of the speeches and dinner, and wow! Talk about some great speeches from the people that love them the most. I was trying so hard not to cry myself!
What a wonderful day, and congrats again to Caitlin & David. I am so glad I was a part of it!
